Not going to lie, we didn’t have a great day. Some days are just like that with him. He's 16 and has been through hell.
There was yelling. There were slammed doors. There were consequences. But there was also repair, consistency with my husband and me, and the big one: Staying.
That’s the part these kids notice. Not perfect parenting. Not calm all the time. Just… staying and not giving up.
Those words weren't easy to say, I'm sure. We both assured him that we are here for him. Not going anywhere. We are staying! ❤
