Become a foster parent in Fond du Lac County Wisconsin

We are so happy you are exploring how to become a foster parent with us in Fond du Lac County. Community Care Resources is a statewide foster agency committed to understanding, recognizing, and responding to the effects of childhood trauma. Our staff works with children and foster families to promote healing with a variety of treatment services. Although we currently have loving families in Waupun, Ripon, and Fond du Lac we don't have enough families to care for the number of kids needing a loving home.

We would love for you to be part of our foster parent community in the valley area.

How is CCR different than other foster care agencies?

The differences are mainly found in the amount of support CCR foster parents receive. In addition, the unmatched experience and education of our staff are critical in creating successful outcomes for kids and parents. CCR foster kids have a variety of trauma histories and require foster families to have a flexible schedule with a parent at home before and after school and on all breaks. In turn, CCR provides the following support to ALL foster parents.

  • Weekly in-home support and school visits with a focus on helping kids heal.
  • 24/7 helpline allows all foster parents to speak with a CCR case manager within minutes at any time of day.
  • All CCR case managers have a master's degree in Social Work allowing for a clinical approach.
  • A 16-year average length of employment among our case managers, means they love working at CCR.
  • Trauma-informed care training before and during your foster care journey to help you care for the kids.
  • A maximum of 15 kids is allowed on each case manager's caseload ensuring quality, individual attention for you and the kids.

We place kids of all ages in Fond du Lac County, generally between ages 5-18, and many are sibling pairs and groups. Our greatest need is homes for children over age 10.

If you qualify to be a foster parent and can provide a flexible schedule, love, and stability to children in need of treatment services and a loving home, we would love to speak with you. We also encourage you to explore our website and find many additional answers to the important foster care questions you have.
