We are looking for compassionate and dedicated adults to become Emergency Foster Parents. This critical role involves providing short-term, emergency care and support to foster children in Wisconsin. Emergency foster parents receive generous daily compensation to help dudring a crisis and can live in any of the 60 counties across the state that we serve.
CCR foster parents who provide emergency foster care accept a child, youth, or siblings in crisis as needed. Emergency foster parents (EFPs) are trained in trauma-informed care and issued a foster license just like our full-time foster parents. We call on our EFPs when there is a crisis with a child or youth or if one of our foster families encounters an urgent situation requiring alternate care for their foster child. Placements can range from 2 to 5 days.
The majority of our foster parents provide traditional or treatment foster care with carefully planned placements lasting 12-24 months. If you are interested in fostering full-time, we desperately need more homes across Wisconsin. All you need to get started is a flexible schedule, bedroom space, and a willingness to care for kids with trauma histories.
Respite care is a planned arrangement between foster parents and a certified respite provider, allowing foster parents a much-needed break.
