A Treatment Foster Care Agency in Wisconsin with Full-Service Support

Partner with us for dedicated, hands-on support.

As a full-service treatment foster care agency in Wisconsin, CCR can provide foster parents with the support they need to succeed.Since 1989, Community Care Resources, Inc. has successfully served thousands of children and families. As a full-service foster care agency, CCR utilizes evidence-based practices in order to stay on the cutting edge of new and innovative treatment approaches to meet the ever changing and evolving mental health needs of our youth and their families. The following are among the various supports and credentials that referring agencies and foster parents alike can expect from CCR:

Exceptional support and collaboration
All of our Clinical Case Managers (CCMs) are licensed Master’s level clinicians as well as CCS (Comprehensive Community Services) certified. Our CCMs provide weekly (exceeds the State minimum requirements) therapeutic, mental health-focused contact with our foster families and foster youth, as well as 24 hour crisis support. County workers are provided with weekly written reports detailing each youth’s progress, as well as an individualized treatment plan that is reviewed on a quarterly basis.

Trauma Informed Care
Since 2010, CCR has utilized a trauma informed approach. All CCMs and foster parents are trained in Trauma Informed Care (TIC), which entails a specific set of assessments, applications and interventions known to be effective in helping kids to resolve deep set and/or underlying problems related to past trauma. The goal of TIC is to engage the entire treatment team in understanding the traumatic experiences the youth has had, identifying the specific triggers for the youth as well as the most effective treatment modalities, and implementing the best emotional regulation skills for each youth.

Training
CCR offers a Professional Trainer who is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker currently employed in the field of child welfare. She has extensive experience with families and children as well as youth in foster care who have experienced trauma. CCR also utilizes Foster/Adoptive parent co-trainers with significant experience at the state and national levels with trauma-informed training and education as well as years of experience parenting traumatized/adopted youth. Pre-placement and Foundation trainings are presented by in-house staff and co-trainers, building strong connections between the agency and foster families.

Psychological Services
CCR offers on-site services of a licensed Child Clinical Psychologist, Donna A. Rifken, Ph.D. Services include complimentary Psychological evaluations and consultation for all foster youth being served in our foster care program—a distinction that helps our foster care agency stand out. Dr. Rifken has over 30 years of experience evaluating and treating traumatized youth, providing child specific interventions as well as consultation and support to our foster families. Dr. Rifken also provides parenting assessments as well as family reunification therapy.

Linked with CCP
CCR is directly linked with our partner agency, Community Care Programs (CCP), a child-focused outpatient mental health clinic. CCP offers Master’s Level Licensed Clinicians who provide diagnosis and assessment as well as targeted specialized treatment for the unique mental health needs of the youth we serve.

WAFCA membership
In the interest of joining in membership with similar agencies within the foster care service area, and with the human services sector broadly, Community Care Resources, Inc. and Community Care Programs, Inc. have affiliated with Wisconsin Association of Family & Children’s Agencies known as WAFCA.

We believe that it is important to communicate, collaborate and cooperate with State of Wisconsin agencies to ensure a partnership in providing and accessing knowledge about service opportunities for youth, state wide initiatives and interagency information sharing. CCR and CCP want to partner with Wisconsin children’s service agencies.
